When the doors opened at the ticket office at 9am this morning, one supporter was already six-and-a-half hours into his quest for Newcastle tickets.

Rotherham United supporter Jason Sims was so determined that he wouldn’t miss out on his trip to St. James’ Park that he set off from his home in Winchester at 2.30am this morning to make sure he was first in the queue.

Jason was one of a number of Millers supporters who braved the cold, as the remaining ticket allocation for the league game on January 21st went on general sale this morning.

Not wanting to leave anything to chance, Jason was prepared to travel through the night to make sure he got his tickets for Rotherham’s first visit to St. James’ since 1993, and the first in the league since 1983.

There are still tickets available for this fixture and are on sale in-store and online at www.rotherhamunitedshop.co.uk
