Rotherham United will play their 4,000th league game this afternoon as the Millers take on QPR at Loftus Road.

Our eagle eyed historian Garry Bray has been working over the stats of the Millers’ league games, plus the figures of the Club’s previous incarnation of Rotherham County.

Putting both sets of figures together, today’s trip to Loftus Road will mark the 4,000th league game.

The figures collated excludes the original Rotherham Town's results (1893 to 1896) as this Club folded at the end of their third league season. A new Rotherham Town club formed in August 1899.

The records include Rotherham County's six seasons in the league before amalgamation with the second Rotherham Town club in May 1925 to become Rotherham United.

Excludes all expunged results for clubs leaving the league during a season
